Freud's landmark 'Mourning and melancholia' was published a century ago. Many seminal psychoanalytic contributions on depression have followed, for example by Melanie Klein and Donald Winnicott. More recently, the continued relevance of psychoanalytic thinking and practice has been underscored from an evidence-based perspective with the findings of the Tavistock Adult Depression Study*.
We invite you to a series of 5 seminars (Monday evenings) to discuss psychoanalytic thinking and practice:
5th June - Christopher Gjetnes - Contemporary Freudian thinking
12th June - Angela Joyce - Winnicott's contribution
19th June - Cyril Couve - A Kleinian perspective
26th June - Dr David Taylor - The Tavistock Adult Depression Study
3rd July - Francois Louw - Overview
