Neil Morgan is a Member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. He originally trained in Medicine, and then in Psychiatry. He has taught extensively - at the Tavistock Clinic, at UCL, as well as teaching a course on Freud to candidates at the Institute of Psychoanalysis.
This five-seminar course will involve close reading, and commentary on five key papers by Freud. The course is designed specifically to provide more complex awareness of concepts initially introduced in the ILS.
It focuses on some papers by Freud that open up, individually, large new areas of psychoanalytical thought. A mix of clinical and theoretical papers have been included.
It will build a bridge to deeper engagement with Freud's thought and facilitate further development.
