10 Windsor Walk is a stone’s throw from the Maudsley Hospital, allowing easy access to the various events offered.  The monthly Psychosomatics Workshop, chaired by Dr Simon Harrison (Psychoanalyst & Consultant Neuropsychiatrist) has traditionally welcomed Maudsley clinicians, and Resident Doctors in particular both as contributors and learners.  The exchange has been fruitful, allowing trainees to develop a more in depth understanding of the mind-body interface, while the seminar benefits from a broader contemporary understanding of psychiatric disturbance.  In this talk, Dr Ward will develop this theme further with the participating Residents, who will contribute from their own experiences.  

Dr Ward will be in discussion with Dr Karolos Dionelis, Dr Helen Sinclair and Dr Harriet Agnew (Psychiatric Registrars at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust).

Clinical material (disguised or otherwise) will not be used for reasons of confidentiality.

Dr Anne Ward is a Psychoanalyst & Consultant Medical Psychotherapist at SLAM (South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust) where she has trained & supervised Resident Doctors for many years. Dr Ward regularly attends the 10 Windsor Walk Psychosomatics Workshops, as have a number of her supervisees & other SLAM staff.
