Michael Parsons is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytical society and a Member of the French Psychoanalytic Association
Michael Parsons is very active internationally. For many years he has visited psychoanalytic organizations abroad at least five times a year, giving lectures, supervisions and clinical workshops. Countries he has visited include Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey and the United States.
For eleven years (1996-2007) he led a clinical workshop in the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society, which met four times a year. Currently he visits Berlin and Istanbul twice a year for supervisions and clinical seminars. He makes regular visits to France, Germany and Greece, developing systematic and continuing links with analysts in those countries.

In Paris he has been a Ph.D thesis examiner and has lectured at the university (Diderot 7).
Since 2009 he has been a Member of the French Psychoanalytic Association (APF), and attends meetings and weekend conferences of the Association when possible. He will chair an APF conference on Humour in 2015, and will be principal speaker in a conference in Paris on Freedom in Psychoanalysis in 2016.
