Join us for the next instalment of our Political Mind series, with speaker Professor Lisa Barrister.
In Violence and the Feminine, Barrister challenges conventional narratives that cast femininity as passive or benign. Instead, she uncovers the complex ways in which violence can be internalised, enacted, and symbolised within the feminine psyche. Drawing on psychoanalytic theory and cultural insight, her work confronts uncomfortable truths about aggression, vulnerability, and the limits of idealised womanhood.
