These findings also made possible the construction of various explanatory theories. War and violent political conflict are not individual phenomena. They occur between groups. Is it possible to develop a process that explores the psychological functioning of communities and addresses dysfunction and conflict in intercommunal relationships, and what does this mean for the development of theory and praxis at the level of such ‘large groups’?
