“Blood and Power” The Abiding Seduction of Fascism
Prof John Foot
Chaired by David Morgan, Psychoanalyst
Tuesday 6th December 2022
8:15pm - 9:45pm GMT
We will look at the continuing threat of fascism that once again is offering its simplistic and dangerous hard man antidote to complex world issues. We see it’s tentacles arising in Hungary, Turkey, Italy, Brazil and versions of it in the dictatorships of Russia and China. It seems to also attract the Trumps, Johnson’s and Bannon's.
John Foot is a Professor of modern Italian history and research director at Bristol University. His latest book is Blood and Power: The Rise and Fall of Italian Fascism
