A silent journey of discovery: the initial stages of analytic work with an adolescent.
This clinical work exemplifies the complexities of the initial weeks of analytic work with a female adolescent, with a difficult history with her primary carers, and the countertransferential impact registered by her analyst.
Sabas Castillo is a Venezuelan-psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, trained in the Central University of Venezuela and in the Caracas Society of Psychoanalysis.
He is a guest member of the British Psychoanalytical Society, he has held many honorary posts as a Psychotherapist at IPPT Lambeth, working with Borderline Adult Patients; the Maudsley's Mother-Baby Unit; and currently with adolescents at WYCP. He is following the IP's training to become a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalyst..He has his private practice in London.
