A dialogue between Gianna Williams and Kate Pugh

Gianna Williams is an Adult and Child Analyst and a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. She has worked as a consultant psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic, where she is currently a visiting lecturer on the Clinical Doctorate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and co-chairs the Workshop on Narcissistic Structures - including eating disorders.

For nearly 20 years, Gianna has organised and taught the Psychoanalytical Observational Studies course at the Tavistock Clinic. During this time, she has also founded and taught similar courses in Italy and Latin America. She currently teaches Infant Observation in two IPA European training programmes. She has taught for a number of years Infant Observation to candidates of the British Psychoanalytical Society.

She currently teaches Infant Observation in two IPA European Societies.

Gianna is the author of numerous publications, with a particular focus on eating disorders and unhelpful internal alliances.
