Laurent Danon-Boileau

Laurent Danon-Boileau is a distinguished psychoanalyst, linguist, writer and editor.

He is a Full Member and a Training Analyst (Membre titulaire formateur) of the Paris Psychoanalytical Society, and Professor Emeritus of Child Language Acquisition and Pathology at Paris Descartes University.

He has published a wide range of books and journal articles on language pathology and on psychoanalytic contributions to the understanding and treatment of childhood autism as well as papers on other psychoanalytic topics. Two of his books have been translated into English and published by Oxford University Press: The Silent Child (OUP 2001) and Children without language: from dysphasia to autism (OUP 2005). He has recently co-edited with Jean-Yves Tamet the highly praised Des psychanalystes en séance (Folio 2016).

He has also published three novels and a range of imaginative writing for both children and adults.

Laurent Danon-Boileau was awarded the prestigious Maurice Bouvet Prize for his psychoanalytic contributions in 2005.
