Beloved Infidel - 18th June 10am

Screening of feature film 'Beloved Infidel' (1959) followed by discussion.

Guest speaker: Adrian Garvey - A Teaching Associate at Queen Mary University of London in the Film and History departments. Adrian also did his PhD there, a study of James Mason and film performance. In addition to film performance, he is especially interested in melodrama and film noir, and, more generally, in Hollywood and British cinema of the studio era. He has recently published on James Mason's voice and on his depiction of ageing masculinity in his later films
