  <h4>Struggling with reparation in latency and ado
 lescence</h4>\n \n <p>When children and young peop
 le love\, they also hate\, and when they become co
 ncerned about their loved objects\, they attempt t
 o make reparation to damage they caused to their l
 oved ones. </p>\n \n <p>In this paper\, Dr Gil Son
  I will explore the struggles of latency children 
 and adolescents in their approaches to reparation.
  Some are more genuine reparations\, some are very
  weak and non-lasting\, and some are turned into t
 he restitution of the self. The role of confusion 
 and difficulties of symbolisation will be discusse
 d in clinical vignettes. </p>\n \n <p><strong>Spea

 escent and Adult Psychoanalyst and Member of the B
 ritish Psychoanalytical Society. She works as a Ps
 ychoanalyst\, Clinical Researcher and Archivist at
  the Brent Centre for Young People. Her PhD is in 
 clinical psychology and she has been teaching and 
 supervising psychotherapists abroad for over twent
 y years. She is a seminar leader on Infant Observa
 tion at the Institute of Psychoanalysis\, London.
