Please note th is series will not be recorded.\n \n Open to quali fied \;psychoanalysts\, child psychotherapists or psychoanalytic psychotherapists. \n If you are unsure if you are eligible to attend please email outreach@iopa.org.uk\n \n Reading material will b e provided to all attendees.\n \n \n \n In person attendees must be willing to present detailed sess ion material of work with a child or adolescent pa tient. \;\n \n Online attendees will be able t o listen to the presentations and discussion but n ot actively \;participate. \;\n \n \n Gian na Williams and Roberta Mondadori offer eight clin ical seminars over four Saturday mornings with&nbs p\;in depth discussion of detailed material. The S aturday mornings will include \;two seminars\, each of which will \;consist of a short and d etailed presentation (maxiumum 30 minutes). \; The presentation will contain essential backgroun d material and verbatim clinical material to enabl e a focus on the interaction in the session. Atten tion will be paid to transference and countertrans ference dynamics. Each presentation will be follow ed by a short 10 minute discussion in groups (in p erson attendees only)\, followed by a larger discu ssion with everyone (online attendees to observe). \n \n 10.00am &ndash\; 11.30am: First seminar\n \n 11.30am - 12.00pm: Break\n \n 12.00pm - 1.30pm: S econd seminar\n \n \n Gianna Williams \;is an Adult and Child Analyst and member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. She has been a consultan t psychotherapist at the Tavistock Clinic\, where she is currently a visiting lecturer on the Clinic al Doctorate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and co-chairs the Workshop on Narcissistic Struct ures including eating disorders. \;\n \n She t eaches Infant Observation in two IPA European Soci eties and has developed and taught on Postgraduate Diploma/MA Programmes in London and Bologna for p rofessionals working with eating disorders. In 198 7\, she founded the Eating Disorders Workshop at t he Tavistock Clinic. \;\n \n She has been a co nsultant since 1999 to JUCONI homes for street chi ldren in Mexico and Ecuador. She has contributed t o various IPA initiatives\, including a 2020 \ ;webinar on British and French approaches to child analysis. Since 2022\, she has been a consultant to the IPA'\;s PACE Committee\, supporting  \;colleagues working with conflict\, trauma\, and emergencies. \;\n \n In 2025\, on behalf of PA CE\, she taught in a worldwide series of lectures organised by the Psychoanalysis and the World Comm ittee for IPA candidates. \;\n \n Gianna Willi ams is the author and co-editor of numerous public ations in the area of her main interest (Eating Di sorders and unhelpful internal alliances)\n \n Key publications include:\n \n Williams\, G. She worked in a NHS Service fo r Adolescents at Risk and taught in a number of Ta vistock courses. She is now working in private pra ctice and is a visiting teacher and supervisor at the Tavistock Clinic where she currently co-chairs the Workshop on "\;Narcissistic Structures in cluding Eating Disorders"\;. She is a member o f the training committee and a visiting teacher of the clinical course at the Tavistock model "\ ;Centro Studi Martha Harris"\; in Florence.
